Top 5 Finance Apps on Android in Italy: Q1 2023 Performance

In the first quarter of 2023, the top five finance apps on the Android platform in Italy showed diverse performance metrics in terms of downloads and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a detailed view of these trends.

PosteID experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 51K in early February before gradually declining to around 35K by the end of March. The app also saw its weekly active users rise initially from 1.1M to a peak of 1.55M by late January, followed by a slight decline, settling at around 1.38M by the end of the quarter.

Postepay maintained a relatively stable download rate throughout the quarter, with weekly downloads fluctuating between 29K and 42K. Active users showed a consistent pattern, starting at 1.34M in late December and ending the quarter at approximately 1.38M, with minor variations in between.

BancoPosta saw a significant increase in downloads at the beginning of the year, reaching a high of 45K in the first week of January before gradually declining to about 26K by the end of March. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 915K and peaking at 1.03M in early January, then slightly decreasing to around 941K by the end of the quarter.

Google Wallet showed a steady growth in downloads, with numbers rising from 19K in late December to a peak of 37K in mid-March before dropping to 27K by the end of the quarter. The number of active users increased steadily from 352K to around 412K over the same period.

PayPal - Pay, Send, Save started the quarter with 26K downloads per week, peaking at about 32K at the end of January and then declining to approximately 24K by the end of March. Active users saw some fluctuations, starting at 1.33M and peaking at 1.38M in early February, before stabilizing around 1.35M towards the end of the quarter.
