In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 auto applications on the Android platform in Nigeria exhibited a range of performance trends, according to Sensor Tower data. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared in terms of weekly downloads and active users.

Autochek - Auto Sales & Loans saw a dynamic trend in weekly downloads, starting with 963 downloads in late December and peaking at 2.9K in the week of January 2. The downloads fluctuated throughout the quarter, with a significant dip to just 81 downloads in mid-February, before climbing back to 2.9K by the end of March.

Copart - Online Auto Auctions experienced a relatively stable weekly download trend, beginning with 987 downloads at the end of December and reaching a high of 1.3K in the final week of February. The app's weekly active users started at 3.6K and peaked at 4.0K in early January, before gradually decreasing to 3.1K by the end of March.

RTO Vehicle Information demonstrated a remarkable increase in weekly downloads, starting at 173 in late December and soaring to 2.7K by mid-February. This was followed by a decline, ending the quarter with just 29 downloads. Active users mirrored this trend, beginning at 1.5K and peaking at 4.8K at the end of February, before dropping to 2.5K by the end of March.
