In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 news applications in Nigeria showed varied performance in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. This data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the trends of these leading apps.

X from X Corp. exhibited a fluctuating trend in weekly revenue, peaking at around $67 in early December. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from 60K to 67K. Active users fluctuated slightly but stayed over 2M throughout the quarter.

Reddit from reddit saw a peak in weekly revenue at $69 in mid-October. Downloads experienced a high of approximately 10K in early November, while active users remained consistent, hovering around 57K to 58K.

Opera News: Breaking & Local from Opera Software AS did not generate any revenue during this period. However, its downloads saw a significant increase towards the end of December, reaching over 31K. Active users also showed a rise, peaking at around 783K in late September before stabilizing around 693K.

Quora from Quora, Inc. maintained steady download numbers, with a slight decline towards the end of the quarter, dropping to around 4.5K. Active users showed a similar trend, peaking at approximately 144K in mid-October and then declining to around 122K by the end of December.
