In Q4 2022, the top five news applications in Brazil displayed diverse performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the metrics for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.

X experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $819 in early November. Downloads reached a high of around 430K in the final week of October. However, active users showed a gradual decline from 20.2M to 19.5M throughout the quarter.

Koo: Know What's Happening! saw a significant boost in downloads mid-November, reaching about 642K. However, the numbers dropped steadily to around 9.9K by the end of December. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 380K in mid-November and falling to 108K by the end of the quarter.

Reddit maintained a relatively steady weekly revenue, peaking at $645 in mid-October. Downloads fluctuated, with a high of approximately 79K in the last week of September and around 37K by the end of December. Active users remained stable, averaging around 1.4M throughout the quarter.

G1 Portal de Notícias da Globo had varied download numbers, peaking at around 183K in late September but dropping to roughly 12K by the end of December. Active users also showed a decline from approximately 1.26M to 961K over the quarter.

AppNews saw consistent download numbers, peaking at about 26K in late October. Active users showed a gradual increase, starting at 34K in late September and reaching around 39K by the end of December.
