During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 finance applications in Sweden demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the trends for Swish payments, Walley, Qliro, PayPal - Pay, Send, Save, and Swedbank private.

Swish payments saw a consistent number of weekly downloads throughout the quarter, starting at 12.7K in late September and peaking at 15K in the last week of December. The app’s weekly active users fluctuated, with a notable increase to approximately 1.8M in mid-December, before dropping to around 1.6M by the end of the month.

Walley exhibited variable weekly download numbers, ranging from 6.8K to 13.7K throughout the quarter. Active users also showed an upward trend, rising from 29.7K in late September to about 38.3K by mid-December, before slightly decreasing to 37.8K at the end of December.

Qliro experienced an increase in weekly downloads, especially in November, where they reached 13K. Active users saw significant growth, peaking at 25.7K in late November, although there was a slight decline to 19.3K by the end of December.

PayPal - Pay, Send, Save maintained a steady download rate, ranging between 6.2K and 8.2K. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 200K mark throughout the quarter.

Swedbank private saw a slight decline in weekly downloads, starting at 7.6K in late September and ending at 7.1K in December. However, active users showed growth, peaking at around 661K in mid-December before settling at approximately 636K by the year’s end.
