During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top five shopping apps on iOS in Germany showcased notable performance trends. Here’s an overview of their weekly downloads and active user metrics.

Amazon saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 32.6K at the end of September and peaking at nearly 48.7K by the end of December. Active users fluctuated slightly, beginning at approximately 1.77M and ending the quarter at around 1.82M.

Kleinanzeigen - without eBay maintained a steady download rate, with a notable peak of about 49K in the last week of October. Active users showed a gentle decline from roughly 1.97M to 1.89M throughout the quarter.

Zalando – Online fashion experienced a steady rise in weekly downloads, reaching approximately 37.7K in the week of November 21. Active users also peaked around the same time, with numbers climbing from about 480K in late September to nearly 594K toward the end of November, before slightly dropping to 446K by the end of December.

OTTO - Online Shopping & Möbel had a gradual increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 35.4K in the third week of November. Weekly active users also saw a significant rise, starting at 401K and reaching over 593K in the same period before settling at approximately 448K by the end of December.

Lastly, idealo - Price Comparison showed impressive growth in weekly downloads, particularly in mid-November, where it peaked at nearly 76K. Active users followed a similar trend, rising from about 110K at the end of September to a high of approximately 230K in the third week of November.
