In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top five iOS navigation apps in France displayed varied performance in terms of downloads, active users, and revenue. Data from Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at these metrics.

Google Maps saw weekly downloads fluctuate, beginning at 54K in late September and peaking at approximately 62K in late October. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 7.5M with minor increases and decreases throughout the quarter.

Essence / Gasoil Now demonstrated an interesting pattern in downloads, with a significant spike to nearly 200K in early October, followed by a gradual decline to about 4K by the end of December. The app's weekly revenue peaked at $389 in mid-October before stabilizing around $20-$30 towards the end of the quarter. Active users mirrored the download trends, peaking at 243K in early October.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained steady weekly downloads, starting at 39K and ending at around 49K by late December. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 3.9M and slightly increasing to nearly 4M by the end of the quarter.

Essence&CO experienced a spike in downloads to 136K in early October, followed by a steady decline to about 3K by the end of December. Weekly revenue peaked at $224 in mid-October before dropping to single digits in December. Active users showed a similar trend, peaking at 174K in early October and declining to 47K by the end of the year.

Finally, Bonjour RATP had a consistent download rate, averaging around 17K weekly. Active users remained stable, averaging around 160K, with a slight decline towards the end of December.
