In the fourth quarter of 2022, the performance of the top 5 iOS navigation apps in Spain revealed interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared during this period, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, peaking at around 43.7K in late October before dipping to approximately 24.9K in late November. The app maintained a steady number of active users, with a slight increase from 4.97M at the start of the quarter to 4.85M by the end.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a rise in weekly downloads towards the end of the quarter, reaching over 10.3K in the last week of December. Active users showed a general upward trend, growing from 347.9K in late September to 363.3K by the end of December.

Moovit: All Transit Options had stable weekly revenue, finishing the quarter with a peak of approximately $348. Weekly downloads showed a downward trend, starting at around 9.9K in late September and ending at about 7K in the last week of December. Active users fluctuated but ended lower at 74.8K.
