Top 5 Education Apps on iOS in Germany Q4 2022

During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 education apps on the iOS platform in Germany saw varied performance in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at how these apps fared.

Duolingo - Language Lessons demonstrated consistent growth in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $374K in the final week of December. Weekly downloads showed an increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching around 25.8K in the last week. Active users also saw a positive trend, growing from 445K to nearly 481K throughout the quarter.

Untis Mobile experienced a decline in weekly downloads, dropping from about 25.9K in late September to 8.3K by the end of December. Despite this, the app maintained a strong active user base, although it saw a decrease from 1.8M to approximately 874K over the same period.

Kahoot! Play & Create Quizzes saw fluctuations in weekly revenue, with a peak of around $4.3K in mid-December. Downloads spiked notably in the week of December 19, reaching nearly 49.1K. The number of active users also increased significantly, peaking at about 131K in the same week.

ANTON: Preschool - Grade 8 had relatively stable weekly revenue, with minor fluctuations, peaking at $7.3K in mid-December. Weekly downloads remained consistent, averaging around 17K, while active users saw a peak of approximately 149K in early December before declining to about 84K by the end of the quarter.

Picture Mushroom: Identifier experienced a significant drop in weekly downloads, from around 80.8K in early October to just 205 by the end of December. Revenue also declined sharply, peaking at about $50.5K in mid-October before dropping to around $248 in late December. Active users followed a similar trend, decreasing from roughly 69.1K to 4.3K over the quarter.
