In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 shopping apps on the Android platform in Nigeria showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

JUMIA Online Shopping saw a notable increase in weekly downloads early in the quarter, peaking at approximately 84K in the last week of October. This was followed by a decline to around 14K by the last week of December. Weekly active users also fluctuated, starting at 737K at the end of September and reaching a high of over 1M in late October before gradually decreasing to 574K by the end of December.

AliExpress - Shopping App experienced a steady trend in weekly downloads, ranging from around 21K to 33K. The app's active users saw an initial increase from 132K at the end of September to 165K in early November, maintaining a stable range around 140K to 150K for the rest of the quarter.

Konga Online Marketplace had consistent weekly downloads, fluctuating between 5K and 7K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users showed a gradual increase from 29K in late September to over 34K by the end of December.

10Malls APP - Blind box online had its peak weekly downloads at around 8.7K in early October, followed by a decline to approximately 1.2K by the end of December.

Alibaba.com - B2B marketplace maintained a steady download rate, ranging from 4K to 5.7K per week. The app's active users showed a slight decline from 201K at the end of September to 190K by the end of December.
