Throughout the fourth quarter of 2022, the top five finance applications on the Android platform in South America demonstrated varying trends in downloads, active users, and revenue. Here’s a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Nubank: conta, cartão e mais saw a stable increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 406K at the end of September and peaking at approximately 546K in the week of October 24. The app maintained a high level of weekly active users, fluctuating between 31.3M and 33.9M throughout the quarter.

Mercado Pago: cuenta digital experienced a consistent trend in weekly downloads, with numbers ranging from 306K to 365K. Active users for the app varied, hitting a high of about 20.0M in the week of December 5 and dropping to around 18.7M by the end of December.

CAIXA Tem showed notable fluctuations in weekly downloads, reaching a peak of approximately 477K in mid-October before settling at around 236K by the end of December. Weekly active users for CAIXA Tem ranged from 5.8M to 7.7M during the quarter.

Serasa: Consulta CPF e Score displayed a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $64K in the week of December 19. Weekly downloads also showed growth, hitting around 362K in the first week of November. Active users for Serasa ranged from 3.2M to 3.9M over the quarter.

Lastly, Inter&Co: Financial APP had a consistent weekly download trend, starting at about 240K and peaking at around 301K in early October. The app's weekly active users fluctuated between 10.5M and 11.2M throughout the quarter.
