Top 5 Finance Apps on Android in Kenya Q4 2022

Throughout the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 finance apps in Kenya on the Android platform showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

TruePesa-Reliable Loans Online saw a peak in weekly downloads at 161K during the week of October 10, before experiencing a decline to around 15K by the end of December. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at 301K in late October and then tapering off to approximately 236K by the end of the quarter.

Zash Loan-Get loan instantly experienced fluctuating download numbers, starting at 91K in late September and reaching a high of 111K in early October. The app ended the quarter with about 61K downloads in the final week. Active users saw a slight increase from 227K in late September to a peak of 235K in mid-December, before ending the quarter at around 222K.

KeCredit Get money to M-Pesa had a notable rise in downloads, peaking at 112K in mid-October. However, the numbers dropped significantly to just around 27K by the last week of December. Active users showed a steady increase from 48K in late September to a peak of 218K in mid-November, before stabilizing around 158K towards the end of December.

AsapKash - Reliable Loans exhibited a strong start with weekly downloads reaching 115K in early October. The app saw a decrease to around 47K downloads by the end of December. Active users saw an upward trend peaking at approximately 495K in early October, maintaining around 438K by the end of the quarter.

Lastly, Zenka Loan App - Kenya showed a consistent performance in terms of downloads, starting at 85K in late September and ending at around 40K in the final week of December. Active users saw a slight decline from 198K in late September to about 153K by the end of December.
