Top 5 Finance Apps on Android in Hungary Q4 2022

During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 finance applications on the Android platform in Hungary showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active user trends. Here’s an overview of how these apps fared:

OTP Bank HU experienced a fluctuating download trend, starting at around 7K downloads per week in late September, peaking at 8.3K in mid-October, and then gradually declining to approximately 5.7K by the end of December. Weekly active users for this app showed a similar fluctuation, starting at 325K, peaking at 338K in early December, and ending the quarter at around 289K.

Google Wallet had a relatively stable download trend with weekly numbers hovering around 6.8K to 7.5K throughout the quarter. Active users for this app started at 20.9K, peaked at 21.7K in early October, and ended the quarter at approximately 18.1K.

Wise saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, from 2K in late September to a peak of 6.6K by the end of October. This trend slightly tapered off towards December, ending with around 3K downloads per week. Active users for Wise also showed positive growth, starting at 13.6K and peaking at approximately 20K in early December, before dropping to 15.8K by the end of the quarter.

Revolut: Spend, Save, Trade had a mixed download trend, starting at 6.6K downloads per week in late September, dipping to around 2.7K in late November, and then rising again to about 4.8K by the end of December. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 125K and ending the quarter at around 115K, with minor fluctuations in between.

OTP SZÉP Card experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads from 3.4K in late September to a peak of nearly 5K in early December, before dropping to 3.1K by the end of the month. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 78.8K, peaking at 87K in early December, and ending the quarter at around 76K.
