During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top five dating apps on the Android platform in Ghana showed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their metrics based on data from Sensor Tower.

Dating and Chat - SweetMeet experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue towards the end of the quarter, peaking at $53 in the final week of December. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at around 10.5K in late September and reaching a high of approximately 16.3K in the last week of December. Active users saw a dip mid-quarter but rebounded to about 28.6K by the end of December.

Poppo live saw its weekly revenue decline from $217 at the beginning of the quarter to $166 in the final week. Downloads spiked to 31.5K in mid-October but generally trended downwards, ending the quarter at around 3.2K. Active users peaked at 23.3K in early October but decreased to approximately 11.8K by the end of December.

Dating and Chat - iHappy had a steady revenue increase, peaking at $64 in the week of December 19. Downloads showed a similar trend, with an initial spike to 11.2K in early October and ending the quarter with about 5K downloads. Active users remained stable, maintaining around 50.8K by the end of December.

Love Letters & Love Messages did not generate any revenue during the quarter. However, weekly downloads remained consistent, averaging around 4.5K to 5.7K. Active users were relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around the 2.8K mark throughout the quarter.

Moly showed a significant increase in weekly revenue, starting at $4 in late October and rising to $46 by the end of December. Downloads also increased, peaking at approximately 8.4K in the final week of December. Active users grew steadily, reaching around 17.2K by the end of the quarter.
