Top 5 Navigation Apps in Portugal Q3 2022

In Q3 2022, the top five navigation apps in Portugal displayed diverse performance trends in terms of downloads, active users, and revenue. Here’s a detailed look at how each app fared during the quarter:

Google Maps saw a steady decline in weekly downloads, starting at around 12.7K at the end of June and dropping to approximately 7.4K by the end of September. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight decrease from 1.4M to 1.39M over the same period.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced fluctuating download numbers, peaking at 17.8K in early August before declining to about 11.6K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at nearly 595K in early August and then decreasing to around 510K by the end of the quarter.

Moovit: All Transit Options exhibited a notable increase in downloads, starting at about 8K in late June and rising to 10.7K by the end of September. The app also saw a significant rise in active users, growing from 46.7K to 57.6K. Revenue trends were modest, peaking at $190 in late August and maintaining around $188 by the end of the quarter.

Via Verde Estacionar had relatively stable download figures, with a peak of 4.1K in late July. Active users showed a gradual increase, from 7.1K at the end of June to about 7.9K by the end of September.

Citymapper: All Live Transit demonstrated an upward trend in downloads, reaching around 2.5K in late August. Active users also increased from approximately 13K in late June to 15.2K by the end of September. Revenue peaked at $139 in late August, showing consistent performance throughout the quarter.
