The third quarter of 2022 saw varying performances among the top 5 navigation apps in Ghana. Here is a detailed look at their trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Google Maps maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated between approximately 4.7K and 5.2K, peaking at 5.2K in early August. The app also saw a steady number of active users, ranging from around 159K to 171K, with a slight dip towards the end of the quarter.

GhanaPostGPS experienced a decline in downloads over the quarter, starting at 1.8K and ending at 1.2K. The active user base showed a gradual decrease as well, moving from 19.4K to 18.3K by the end of September.

The Bolt Driver App saw a notable increase in downloads, especially in September, where weekly downloads surged from 2.8K to over 5.4K. Active users also saw a rise, climbing from 71K at the start of the quarter to 80K in mid-September, before slightly dropping to 77K.

GPS Live Navigation had a steady growth in downloads, starting from 135 and reaching 350 by the end of the quarter. Active users increased consistently, beginning at 452 and ending at 1.3K.
