In the third quarter of 2022, Brazil's top 5 navigation apps demonstrated diverse patterns in downloads and active user engagement. Here's a closer look at their performance based on Sensor Tower data.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads fluctuating slightly, peaking at 105K in mid-September before dropping to around 88K by the end of the quarter. The app saw active users hover around 6M, with a minor decline towards the end of the period.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic exhibited a consistent increase in downloads, reaching approximately 219K in early August. Active users remained relatively steady, averaging around 5.6M throughout the quarter.

Moovit: All Transit Options experienced growth in both downloads and revenue. Weekly downloads peaked at around 140K in early August, while weekly revenue increased to about $708 by mid-September. Active users rose significantly, climbing from 2.7M to over 3.1M.

Cittamobi: Transporte Coletivo saw steady download numbers, with a peak of about 30K in mid-August. Active users showed a positive trend, increasing from 563K to approximately 675K by the end of the quarter.

Bike Itaú had varied download numbers, peaking at nearly 20K in early September. Active users reached a high of around 66K in early September but dropped to about 51K by the end of the quarter.
