The third quarter of 2022 saw notable performances from the top five lifestyle apps in Kenya on a unified platform. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads and active user trends for these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

MySafaricom experienced a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 28.4K at the end of June and reaching around 40.1K by the end of September. Active users fluctuated, beginning at about 1.96M and ending the quarter with close to 1.91M.

My Airtel saw a steady rise in weekly downloads, from roughly 14K at the end of June to around 15.9K by the end of September. Active user numbers showed a gradual increase, starting at approximately 206K and peaking at about 221K mid-September.

Pinterest displayed a consistent growth in weekly downloads, beginning at about 11.9K and climbing to around 14.2K by the end of the quarter. Active users also grew steadily, from approximately 308K to nearly 345K over the same period.

Glovo: Food Delivery and More maintained a relatively stable download rate, starting at around 8.7K and ending at about 9K weekly downloads. Active users showed a slight upward trend, from approximately 119K to about 125K.

Tattoo my Photo 2.0 had a more variable download rate, beginning at approximately 4.3K and dropping to around 3K by the end of September. Active users also saw a decline, starting at about 3.6K and reducing to approximately 2.9K.
