In the third quarter of 2022, the finance app landscape in Oman showed varied performance across the top five applications, measured by weekly downloads, active users, and revenue. Here’s a detailed look at how these apps fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Bank Muscat Mobile Banking maintained a steady presence in the market. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at around 9.2K in late June and dipping to 6.1K in mid-July. However, the app saw a resurgence with downloads peaking at 10.5K by the end of August. Active user numbers displayed relative stability, ranging from approximately 129K to 142K throughout the quarter.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto experienced significant volatility in its weekly downloads, with a high of 8.3K in early August and a drop to around 1K by the end of the same month. Active users saw a consistent upward trend, increasing from 27.4K in late June to about 43K by mid-September.

ONEIC Bill & Pay displayed a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 2.6K in late June and rising to 3.4K by the end of September. The app's active user base also showed growth, moving from 6.5K to 7.2K over the same period.

Teller, a newer entrant, saw a dramatic spike in downloads, particularly in early September, peaking at nearly 14K. This was a notable increase from its initial launch in early July, where it started with just 10 downloads.

Xtrade - Online Trading experienced a decline in weekly downloads over the quarter, from around 1.8K in late June to just 47 by the end of September. Active users also saw a downward trend, peaking at 6.3K in late August and dropping to 4.4K by the end of the quarter.
