Orange Money Africa from Orange SA experienced a significant increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 4.7K in early August. The app saw another notable rise to about 3.3K downloads in mid-September. Despite these download trends, the app did not generate revenue during this period.

MyBOA - Mobile Banking, published by BANK OF AFRICA, saw a remarkable surge in weekly downloads, reaching a high of around 5.9K in mid-August. This was followed by a steady number of downloads, maintaining around 2K to 3K in the subsequent weeks. Similar to Orange Money Africa, this app did not report any revenue during Q3 2022.

MVola from MVola Madagascar also showed a strong performance in terms of downloads. The app achieved its highest weekly downloads of approximately 5.2K in late July. However, downloads decreased in the following weeks, stabilizing around 800 to 1.4K by the end of September. There was no revenue reported for this app during the quarter.
