Top 5 Finance Apps in Kenya Q3 2022 Performance

In the third quarter of 2022, the top finance applications in Kenya showed varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, gives us a comprehensive look at how these apps fared on a unified platform combining both iOS and Android metrics.

FairKash - Loan to M-Pesa experienced fluctuating weekly downloads with a peak at approximately 144K in mid-July, followed by a decline to around 20K by the end of September. Despite this, the app maintained a strong active user base, growing from 356K at the start of the quarter to nearly 500K by the end of September.

Equity Mobile saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, reaching over 103K in mid-September. Active users also exhibited a positive trend, climbing from 260K at the beginning of the quarter to over 522K by the end.

Zash Loan-Get loan instantly showed consistent growth in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads peaked at around 91K in late September, while active users increased from approximately 179K in late June to 227K by the end of September.

MyKes-Reliable Loans Online had significant weekly download numbers, reaching a high of 70K in early September. Active user numbers also grew steadily, starting at 232K and peaking at around 304K in mid-September before a slight decline towards the end of the quarter.

Mkopo Poa demonstrated a notable spike in downloads in mid-July, hitting around 136K. Although downloads varied throughout the quarter, active users showed a general upward trend, starting at 15K and reaching approximately 111K by the end of September.
