The third quarter of 2022 saw some interesting trends for the top 5 utilities apps on iOS in Oceania. Here's a closer look at their performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google experienced a significant rise in weekly downloads, hitting a peak of around 30.5K in the week of August 8. The app maintained a steady user base, with weekly active users increasing from approximately 181K at the beginning of the quarter to around 184.5K by the end of September.

Google Chrome saw its downloads fluctuate, reaching a high of about 27.1K in mid-August. The number of weekly active users remained relatively stable, oscillating between 1.01M and 1.05M throughout the quarter.

My Telstra had a consistent download rate, with a notable increase to about 16.3K downloads in the last week of September. The app's active user count displayed minor fluctuations, starting at around 118.3K and ending the quarter at approximately 115.8K.

My Optus experienced a slight dip in weekly downloads, reaching a low of about 9.2K in the week of August 22, but rebounded to around 11.9K by mid-September. Weekly active users saw a minor decrease from roughly 217.4K at the start of the quarter to about 209.3K by the end.

Google Authenticator showed a steady download trend, peaking at around 11.5K in the final week of September. The app's active user base increased from approximately 115.5K at the beginning of the quarter to around 117.6K by the end.
