In the third quarter of 2022, the top five travel applications on the iOS platform in the United States demonstrated notable performance trends. Here is an in-depth look at their weekly downloads and active user metrics.

Uber - Request a ride saw consistent weekly downloads ranging from approximately 230K to 250K. The highest downloads were recorded during the week of September 19 with about 253K. Active users for the app showed a steady increase throughout the quarter, peaking at around 7.7M in late August before slightly declining to 7.1M by the end of September.

Vrbo Vacation Rentals experienced a downward trend in weekly downloads, starting at 232K in early July and decreasing to around 99K by the end of September. Active users also declined from 2.2M at the beginning of the quarter to 1.6M by the last week of September.

Lyft maintained a stable weekly download rate, averaging around 160K to 170K, with a slight peak at 172K during the week of September 12. The app's active users showed a gradual increase, reaching a high of 3.4M in early September before a minor drop to 3.3M by the end of the month.

Expedia: Hotels, Flights & Car had a consistent download pattern starting around 167K in early July and gradually declining to 122K by the end of September. Active users remained relatively stable throughout the quarter, fluctuating slightly around 1.3M.

Finally, American Airlines showed a decline in weekly downloads from 184K in late June to approximately 137K by the end of September. Active users also saw a decrease from 842K in late June to 745K by the end of the quarter.
