During the third quarter of 2022, the travel app market in Egypt saw significant activity. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 iOS travel apps based on data from Sensor Tower.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced consistent weekly downloads, ranging from approximately 11.4K to 13.8K, with a peak at 13.7K in mid-August. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 18K and peaking at nearly 20K by the end of September.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides saw a downward trend in weekly downloads over the quarter, beginning at 8.6K and dropping to around 7.2K by the end of September. Active users also decreased, starting at 11K and ending the quarter at about 10K.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady download rate, averaging around 7K to 8K per week. The app had a strong base of active users, starting at 154K and peaking at nearly 166K in early July, before stabilizing around 146K by the end of the quarter.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 5.7K and ending at 3.5K. Active users showed a similar trend, decreasing from 43K at the beginning of the quarter to 36K by the end of September.

Swvl - Daily Bus Rides had a steady download rate, averaging between 3.7K and 5K per week. Active users saw a slight decrease from 10K at the start of the quarter to about 6.9K by the end of September.
