Top 5 Travel Apps on iOS in UAE for Q3 2022

The third quarter of 2022 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top 5 travel apps on the iOS platform in the United Arab Emirates. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into weekly downloads, active users, and revenue for these leading apps.

Careem – rides, food & more experienced a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, beginning with around 5.4K at the end of June and peaking at 8.9K in the last week of September. Weekly active users showed a gradual increase from approximately 50.9K to 52.2K by the end of the quarter.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel saw a peak in weekly downloads in mid-July at around 6.6K, followed by a decline to approximately 3.6K by the end of September. The app maintained a stable number of weekly active users, ranging from 122K to about 120K throughout the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a peak in weekly downloads in mid-July at about 5.5K, then a decline to approximately 4.1K by the end of September. Meanwhile, weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 130K mark throughout the quarter.

Airalo: eSIM Travel & Internet showed significant fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at around 6.3K in early August and then declining to around 1.9K by the end of September. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, reaching a high of roughly 6.9K in early August before dropping to approximately 3K.

MakeMyTrip Flight, Hotel, Bus had a peak in weekly downloads in mid-July at around 4.3K, followed by a decline to about 2.8K by late September. Weekly active users showed a slight increase from approximately 5.4K to 5.6K over the quarter.
