The third quarter of 2022 saw interesting trends among the top 5 news apps on iOS in Europe. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here is an overview of their performance.

X experienced a notable peak in weekly downloads, reaching approximately 308K in mid-July. Weekly revenue also showed fluctuations, peaking at around $2.5K in the same period. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 21M throughout the quarter.

Reddit showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at about $16.5K in mid-September. Downloads fluctuated, with a high of roughly 162K in mid-July, while active users gradually increased from 3.5M to approximately 3.7M by the end of September.
