In the third quarter of 2022, the top five shopping apps on the Android platform in Ireland showed varying trends in downloads and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the performance of Tesco Ireland, Dunnes Stores, Lidl Plus, SHEIN-Shopping Online, and Amazon Shopping.

Tesco Ireland showed a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting strong with around 11K in early July but then experiencing a gradual decline, ending the quarter with approximately 8.2K downloads. Active users followed a similar pattern, beginning with 17.6K and decreasing to about 16K by the end of September.

Dunnes Stores experienced a varied download trend throughout the quarter. The app saw a significant peak in the first week of August with 6.4K downloads, and another peak towards the end of September with 5.1K downloads. Active users were steady, starting at 77.6K and ending with a rise to 84.2K.

Lidl Plus maintained a consistent performance in weekly downloads, with a steady increase from 3.5K in late June to approximately 4.6K by the end of September. Active users also showed an upward trend, starting at 104.5K and reaching around 109K by the end of the quarter.

SHEIN-Shopping Online had a relatively stable download rate, peaking at around 4.5K in mid-July before settling to about 3.5K by the end of September. Active users began at 113.3K and showed minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at approximately 110.3K.

Amazon Shopping saw a steady increase in downloads, starting at around 2.2K in late June and rising to about 3.8K by the end of September. Active users exhibited a slight increase from 142.5K to 155.1K over the same period.
