Top 5 Insurance Apps on Android in Costa Rica Q3 2022

In the third quarter of 2022, the top 5 insurance apps on the Android platform in Costa Rica exhibited varied performance trends. Here’s a closer look at their weekly downloads and active user metrics based on data from Sensor Tower.

INS 24/7 from INS Servicios saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads. Starting at around 1K downloads in the final week of June, it peaked at approximately 1.7K downloads during the week of August 22. Despite minor fluctuations, the app maintained a robust download rate throughout the quarter.

Unity from UnitySeguros had a more modest performance, with weekly downloads ranging between 120 and 212. The highest download figure was recorded in the first week of August, reaching around 212 downloads. The app showed slight variations but remained relatively stable in its download numbers.

Marsh Asprose by Asprose Corredora de Seguros experienced a low but steady download rate throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated between 46 and 104, with the highest number of downloads occurring in mid-August.

Odontoprev from OdontoPrev S.A. showed a gradual increase in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads climbed from 45 at the end of June to a peak of 93 in mid-September. Concurrently, weekly active users increased from about 101 to 156 over the same period, indicating a positive growth trend.

QMóvil CR by Quálitas Compañia de Seguros had a notable spike in downloads towards the end of the quarter. Downloads surged from a range of 18 to 37 in July to a peak of 113 in the first week of September, showing a significant uptick in user acquisition.
