Top 5 Finance Apps on Android in Italy: Q3 2022

During the third quarter of 2022, the top finance apps in Italy on the Android platform exhibited diverse performance trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

PosteID saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 37K in late June and peaking at approximately 42K by the end of September. Weekly active users for the app also demonstrated a significant upward trend, growing from around 1.3M to over 1.7M throughout the quarter.

Postepay maintained a consistent download rate, beginning at roughly 31K in late June and ending the quarter slightly higher at around 35K. The number of weekly active users for Postepay showed a gradual increase, starting at about 1.3M and reaching nearly 1.4M by the end of September.

Google Wallet experienced a notable rise in weekly downloads mid-quarter, with numbers growing from approximately 17K in early August to around 45K by the end of the month. However, active users for Google Wallet saw a decline, dropping from about 485K in late June to just under 400K by the end of September.

BancoPosta displayed stable download figures, fluctuating between 26K and 31K throughout the quarter. The app’s weekly active users showed a positive trend, increasing from around 889K in late June to approximately 954K by the end of September.

PayPal - Send, Shop, Manage also saw consistent download numbers, starting at about 22K in late June and reaching around 32K by the end of September. The app’s active user base grew steadily, beginning the quarter at roughly 1.2M and climbing to over 1.3M by the end of September.
