Top 5 Utilities Apps in Ukraine: Q2 2022 Performance

In Q2 2022, the utilities app market in Ukraine saw significant activity across both iOS and Android platforms. Here we look at the performance of the top 5 utilities applications: Google, Дія, Google Chrome, Getcontact, and Starlink.

Google experienced a remarkable increase in weekly downloads, particularly in the latter part of the quarter. Downloads peaked at approximately 63K during the week of June 20, rising from around 16.5K at the end of March. However, the active user base showed a slight decline, decreasing from 11.5M to approximately 11.1M by the end of June.

Дія had a strong start with 290K downloads in the last week of March, but numbers fluctuated throughout the quarter, stabilizing around 66K by the end of June. Active users also saw a decline, dropping from 4M in late March to around 2.8M by the end of June.

Google Chrome maintained a relatively stable download rate, averaging around 11K to 14K weekly downloads. The active user base showed a slight decline from 17.3M in late March to approximately 16.8M by the end of June.

Getcontact saw consistent weekly downloads, peaking at around 27K in the week of June 20. The app’s weekly revenue also demonstrated growth, reaching approximately $32.6K by the last week of June. Active user figures fluctuated but ended the quarter with a slight increase from 1.25M to about 1.33M.

Starlink experienced significant volatility in downloads, starting strong with 65K in late March but dropping to around 2.3K by the end of June. Active users also saw a decline from around 110K to approximately 40K over the quarter.
