During the second quarter of 2022, the top 5 news apps in Europe demonstrated varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their metrics:

X, published by X Corp., saw a fluctuating trend in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $3.5K in mid-April before declining to around $2.4K by the end of June. Weekly downloads experienced a significant drop from 685K at the start of the quarter to 539K by the end, with a notable spike to 755K in late April. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 59M throughout the quarter.

Reddit, published by reddit, maintained a steady weekly revenue, averaging around $10K, with a slight decrease toward the end of the quarter. Downloads showed an initial surge to 714K in early April but settled between 223K and 325K for the rest of the period. Active users consistently stayed around 9.9M, peaking slightly above 10.6M in early April.
