Top 5 Navigation Apps in Romania for Q2 2022

In the second quarter of 2022, the top navigation apps in Romania demonstrated diverse performance metrics across downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps maintained a steady presence with weekly downloads ranging from around 11K to 20.6K, peaking in the week of April 25. The app also saw a consistent increase in weekly active users, starting at approximately 663K at the end of March and rising to around 752K by the end of June.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 31.8K in the week of April 25. The number of weekly active users also saw a general upward trend, growing from about 906K at the end of March to approximately 1.06M by the end of June.

Moovit: All Transit Options had consistent weekly downloads, fluctuating between 9.6K and 12.2K. The app's weekly revenue showed minor gains, peaking at about $14 in the final week of June. Weekly active users hovered around the 100K mark, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching around 116K.

The Bolt Driver App had relatively stable weekly downloads, ranging from 1.7K to 2.5K. Weekly active users remained steady throughout the quarter, averaging around 18K, with a slight increase towards the end of June.

Lastly, PBSC saw a significant drop in weekly downloads after an initial peak of 1.4K in the week of May 2, eventually stabilizing around the 200-300 range. Weekly active users also declined from a high of about 1.1K in early May to around 622 by the end of June.
