Top 5 Navigation Apps Performance in Guatemala, Q2 2022

During the second quarter of 2022, the top five navigation applications in Guatemala, based on data from Sensor Tower, showcased varied performance metrics in terms of downloads and active users on a unified platform.

Google Maps saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 3K in late March and peaking at 5.6K in mid-April before settling at approximately 2.8K by the end of June. The app maintained a steady number of weekly active users, ranging from 213K to 220K throughout the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic demonstrated a strong performance with weekly downloads peaking at 23K in mid-April and stabilizing around 15K towards the end of June. Weekly active users for Waze remained robust, fluctuating between 235K and 255K over the quarter.

CarOS® — Powerful dashboard showed modest weekly downloads, mostly hovering around 100-150, with a peak of 184 in early May. Revenue for CarOS® varied, peaking at $126 in late May. Weekly active users remained consistent, generally between 900 and 1K.

SpTH experienced low yet steady weekly downloads, ranging from 50 to 200, with active users peaking at 210 in mid-May. Despite the lower numbers, SpTH maintained a consistent presence in the market.

Ways for Waze had relatively stable weekly downloads, mostly around 100-120, with a slight peak at 138 in mid-June. Active users for Ways for Waze varied slightly, remaining around 370-460 throughout the quarter.
