In the second quarter of 2022, the top five navigation apps on iOS in Europe displayed a range of performance trends in terms of weekly downloads and active users. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the performance of these leading apps.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 609K and 981K. Notably, the highest downloads were observed in the week of April 11, reaching approximately 981K. The app also saw a consistent increase in weekly active users, growing from around 68.2M at the start of the quarter to 75.6M by the end of June.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at about 175K in the week of May 23. Its weekly active users also rose from approximately 11M to 13M over the quarter.

Moovit: All Transit Options saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at 86K and reaching around 115K by the end of June. The app's weekly revenue showed a slight upward trend, peaking at $391 in the last week of June. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 1M throughout the quarter.

Yandex Maps & Navigator showed a consistent performance with weekly downloads increasing from 52K to 73K. The app also demonstrated steady growth in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $7.5K in early May. Weekly active users grew from about 2M to 2.3M by the end of the quarter.

2GIS: Offline Map & Navigation maintained a steady download rate, starting at 41K and peaking at around 49K in the last week of June. The app's weekly active users increased from 1.5M to approximately 1.7M over the quarter.
