Top 5 Insurance Apps on Android in Ghana: Q2 2022

The second quarter of 2022 saw varied performances among the top 5 insurance apps on the Android platform in Ghana. These insights, derived from Sensor Tower, reveal trends in weekly downloads and active users for each app.

MyStar from Star Assurance Group experienced a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads. Starting at around 1.1K downloads in late March, the app saw peaks and troughs throughout the quarter, with a notable dip to 671 downloads in late May. However, the app regained traction, ending the quarter at approximately 1.2K downloads in the last week of June.

Star Assurance by Star Assurance Co. Ltd maintained a relatively stable but low download rate throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads ranged from 47 to 94, with a slight uptick to 68 downloads in late May.

Premier Health by Qwerty Ghana Limited saw modest download numbers. The app started the quarter with 60 downloads and fluctuated around this number, peaking at 52 downloads in mid-June and ending the quarter with 41 downloads.

Acacia Health Insurance from Symliq showed a similar pattern of low but consistent downloads. Starting with 80 downloads in late March, the app's weekly downloads varied, reaching a low of 17 in early May, but recovered to around 34 downloads by the end of June.

TM - Hugsum í framtíð by TM hf had the lowest weekly downloads among the top 5. The app started with 60 downloads in late March and saw a significant drop to 13 downloads in late May. However, it experienced a surge to 93 downloads in mid-June before stabilizing at 34 downloads by the end of the quarter.
