In the second quarter of 2022, the top finance apps on the Android platform in Europe exhibited diverse performance patterns in terms of weekly downloads and active user metrics. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared:
PayPal - Pay, Send, Save saw a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 310K at the beginning of April and ending the quarter at around 222K. However, the app maintained a robust active user base, fluctuating around 12M, with a peak of 12.5M in the last week of June.
Google Wallet experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, rising from about 251K at the end of March to nearly 298K by the end of June. Active users also showed a positive trend, increasing from around 5.8M to over 6M during the same period.
Mir Pay had significant fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at 378K in mid-April but declining to around 155K by the end of June. The app's active user base grew consistently, starting at approximately 1.4M and reaching over 2.2M by the end of the quarter.
Tinkoff displayed a steady increase in weekly downloads, beginning with 148K at the end of March and peaking at 221K in mid-June. The app's active user base also showed an upward trend, starting at around 8.6M and rising to over 10M by the end of June.
Revolut: Spend, Save, Trade had relatively stable weekly downloads, hovering around 190K at the beginning of April and ending the quarter at approximately 161K. The app’s active users increased from about 3.6M to nearly 3.9M over the same period.
