The first quarter of 2022 saw notable trends in the performance of the top five travel applications in Qatar. Here's a closer look at their weekly downloads and active user statistics.

Uber - Request a ride had a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 6.3K in late December and peaking at approximately 12.8K in the week of March 7. Active users also showed a positive trend, rising from around 76.4K at the beginning of January to about 92.5K by mid-March.

Qatar Airways saw a steady rise in weekly downloads, beginning at 1.4K in early January and reaching 2.4K by early February. Active users followed a similar trend, increasing from around 4.2K at the start of the quarter to approximately 5.6K by early February.

Careem – rides, food & more experienced consistent growth in weekly downloads, starting from 1.5K in early January and growing to around 2.9K by the end of March. The app also maintained a stable number of active users, hovering around 39K throughout the quarter.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads, beginning at around 1.2K in early January and peaking at approximately 1.8K in early March. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 31K throughout the quarter.

Loop - Dreams On Wheels had a decline in weekly downloads, starting from around 1K in early January and dropping to about 500 by the end of March. Active user data for this app was not available.
