In the first quarter of 2022, the top five travel applications in Australia displayed various trends in downloads and active users. This data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the performance of these leading apps.

Uber - Request a ride saw a significant upward trend in weekly downloads, starting at 36.9K in late December and peaking at 46.1K by mid-March before slightly tapering to 44K at the end of the quarter. Active users for the app fluctuated, beginning at approximately 670K and reaching a high of around 775K in early March, then settling at about 687K by the end of March.

Neuron E-scooters and E-bikes experienced an increase in weekly downloads, starting at 25.3K and peaking at 34.6K in early February. Downloads saw a decline towards the end of the quarter, finishing at 23.7K. The active user count followed a similar pattern, beginning at 38.8K and rising to 49.6K by mid-March before declining slightly to 41.7K by the quarter's end.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel showed consistent growth in weekly downloads, starting at 21.5K and gradually increasing to 26.9K by the end of March. Active users also displayed a steady upward trend, beginning at 417K and reaching over 504K by the end of the quarter.

Google Earth maintained a relatively stable download rate throughout Q1 2022, with weekly downloads ranging from 15.1K to 20.7K. Active users remained consistent as well, starting at 62.7K and ending the quarter at 60.6K, with minor fluctuations in between.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides observed a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at 17.3K and peaking at 21.3K by the end of February. Downloads then slightly decreased to 18.8K by the end of March. Active users showed a steady rise from 365K at the start of the quarter to 345K by the end of March.
