In the first quarter of 2022, Romania's top navigation apps saw varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data provided by Sensor Tower.

Google Maps started Q1 with weekly downloads around 10.9K and witnessed fluctuations, peaking at 15K in the week of March 21. Active users showed a consistent trend with a slight increase from 631.9K to approximately 675.9K by late February, before stabilizing around 663.4K by the end of March.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw its weekly downloads range from 13.1K to 21.5K, with a notable peak of 19.6K in mid-March. The app's active user base showed some fluctuations, starting at 1.1M and experiencing a dip to around 822.4K at the end of January, but it rebounded to approximately 942.3K by the end of March.

Moovit: All Transit Options exhibited a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 4.6K and rising to 10.9K by the end of March. Active users also increased consistently, beginning at 74.5K and peaking at 104.1K in the week of March 21, before slightly reducing to 100.5K.

Peco Online - Fuel prices RO experienced a significant spike in weekly downloads, from a modest 259 at the start of January to 23.6K in early March. Revenue also saw notable fluctuations, with a sharp increase to $94 in the week of March 7, before stabilizing around $27 towards the end of the quarter.

Lastly, Bolt Driver App showed varied download numbers, starting at 6K and experiencing fluctuations throughout the quarter, ending at 1.9K in the last week of March. Active users showed a slight decrease from 22.3K to around 18.3K by the end of the quarter.
