Top 5 Navigation Apps in Hungary Q1 2022

In the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 navigation apps in Hungary demonstrated varied performance metrics in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a look at how each app performed, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps witnessed a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 5.5K in late December and peaking at 7.6K in mid-March. Weekly active users also showed a gradual rise from 332.8K to 366.6K by late February, maintaining stability around 353K towards the end of March.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced fluctuating downloads, starting at 6.5K in late December and reaching a high of 7.5K in mid-March. Active users saw a decline from 377.7K at the start of the quarter to 281.9K by the end of March.

Shell: Fuel & Rewards showed significant growth in weekly downloads, beginning at 2.2K and peaking at 6.7K in mid-February, before settling at 1.7K by the end of March. Active users increased from 16.1K at the beginning of the quarter to a peak of 23.9K in mid-February, before decreasing to 17.4K by late March.

Moovit: All Transit Options maintained a steady weekly download rate, starting at 819 and reaching a peak of 2.1K in mid-March. Active users grew from 12.9K to 15.8K by mid-March, ending the quarter slightly lower at 14.9K.

SpTH saw modest weekly downloads, starting at 232 and ending at 315. Active users slowly increased from 281 at the beginning of the quarter to 378 by the end of March.
