Top 5 Navigation Apps Performance in Central America - Q1 2022

In Q1 2022, Central America's top 5 navigation apps experienced diverse performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower:

Google Maps saw a consistent rise in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 68.2K in early January and peaking at around 87.5K by the end of March. Active users also displayed steady growth, reaching nearly 5M by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced fluctuations in downloads, beginning at about 95.7K in late December and dipping to around 69.2K mid-January. However, downloads surged to approximately 99.7K in mid-March. Active users showed a positive trend, increasing from 2.17M at the start of the quarter to approximately 2.27M by the end of March.

Moovit: All Transit Options demonstrated a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting from 16.8K at the end of December and rising to nearly 33.9K by the end of March. Active users saw significant growth, beginning at 314.9K and reaching approximately 576.9K by the end of the quarter.

Parental GPS Phone Tracker showed varied revenue trends, peaking at about $4.5K in mid-February. Downloads fluctuated, with a high of around 3.2K in late January, but significantly dropped to just about 199 by mid-March.

Find my Phone - Family Locator experienced a decline in revenue, starting at approximately $6.9K in late December and dropping to around $3.6K by the end of March. Downloads also decreased, from about 21.7K at the end of December to roughly 10.6K by late March. Active users followed a similar downward trend, starting at 38.1K and ending the quarter at around 25.5K.
