In Q1 2022, the top navigation apps in the United Arab Emirates demonstrated a mix of growth trends and stability across downloads and active user metrics. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of these apps on a unified platform.

Google Maps exhibited consistent weekly downloads, fluctuating between 13.7K and 16.3K. The app saw a peak of approximately 16.3K downloads in the final week of March. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at around 1.23M and ending the quarter at approximately 1.23M.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a peak in weekly downloads during the week of February 21, with around 8.6K. By the end of March, downloads slightly decreased to approximately 6.6K. Active user numbers showed a gradual increase from 321K to 328K over the quarter.

S'hail saw fluctuations in downloads, with a notable peak at around 7.6K in late January. Active users for the app showed a slight upward trend, reaching approximately 22.3K by the end of March.
