In the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 auto applications in Australia showed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. This data, provided by Sensor Tower, offers insights into the trends and usage patterns of these leading apps.

Petrol Spy Australia saw significant growth in weekly downloads, starting at around 5K at the end of December 2021 and peaking at an impressive 41K in the week of March 7. Weekly active users also increased, reaching approximately 98K in early March before stabilizing around 60K by the end of the quarter.

Carsales maintained a steady download rate, with weekly downloads fluctuating between 11K and 15K throughout the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 320K for most of the period, with minor fluctuations.

NSW FuelCheck experienced a substantial increase in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads surged from around 3.5K at the beginning of January to over 73K in the third week of March. Active users followed a similar trend, jumping from 41K to 130K over the quarter.

Fuel Map Australia displayed a notable rise in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 3.5K at the end of December and reaching a peak of 25K in early March. Active users also increased, from 20K to a high of 48K in the same period.

Lastly, BPme showed consistent performance, with weekly downloads ranging between 5K and 7K. Active users remained steady, averaging around 14K throughout the quarter.
