In the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 shopping apps on the iOS platform in Latin America displayed diverse trends in weekly downloads and active users. According to data from Sensor Tower, here’s a breakdown of their performance:

SHEIN - Shopping Online saw consistent growth in weekly downloads, starting at around 143K at the end of December 2021 and peaking at approximately 255K by the end of March 2022. The app also experienced a steady increase in weekly active users, rising from 3.1M to nearly 3.9M during the same period.

Shopee Brasil - Frete Zero began the quarter with 131K downloads and surged to 235K in early January. However, downloads fluctuated throughout the quarter, ending at 160K in the last week of March. The app’s weekly active users grew from 2.7M to a peak of 3.1M in mid-March, before slightly declining to about 2.9M by the end of the quarter.

Mercado Libre: Compras Online maintained a steady download rate, starting at 119K and reaching a peak of 150K in mid-March, closing the quarter at 149K. The active user base remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 5.5M and 5.8M throughout the quarter.

Amazon Shopping experienced a modest increase in downloads, starting at 79K and peaking at 96K by late January, though it ended the quarter at 69K. Active users showed a slight decline from 2.5M at the beginning of the quarter to 2.3M by the end of March.

Americanas: Compras Online witnessed a significant spike in downloads mid-January, reaching approximately 83K, before stabilizing around 60K towards the end of the quarter. The app’s active users experienced fluctuations, peaking at 1.8M in early January and settling around 1.6M by the end of March.
