In Q1 2022, the iOS news app market in Russia saw notable trends across the top 5 apps: Meduza, X, РБК Новости, Дождь, and Wallpaper & Live Wallpapers. Here's a closer look at their performance.

Meduza from Meduza Project saw a dramatic spike in weekly downloads, peaking at 122.6K during the week of February 21. Downloads gradually decreased to 2.2K by the end of March. Active users rose significantly from 11.6K in late December to 54.9K at the end of February, before stabilizing at around 23.5K towards the quarter's end.

X from X Corp. maintained a consistent download rate, peaking at 27.2K in the week of February 21. Active users remained steady, fluctuating around 1.6M throughout the quarter. Weekly revenue showed a slight increase, peaking at $63 in the same week.
