The first quarter of 2022 saw notable trends in the performance of the top 5 navigation apps on iOS in the United States. Here’s a detailed look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for these apps.

Google Maps experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 373K and peaking at around 562K by the week of March 21. The app also saw a steady rise in weekly active users, growing from 23.7M at the beginning of the quarter to nearly 24.2M by the end of March.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed a similar upward trend in weekly downloads. Starting at around 155K at the end of December, downloads dipped to about 110K by mid-January but recovered, reaching approximately 172K in mid-March.
