Top 5 iOS Navigation Apps in South America for Q1 2022

During the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 navigation applications on iOS in South America displayed diverse trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these apps performed:

Google Maps maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, with weekly downloads hovering around 140K to 150K. The highest number of downloads was seen in the week of February 21, reaching approximately 153K. Active users for the app also showed a consistent upward trend, starting from around 9.75M at the beginning of January and peaking at nearly 10.4M by the end of March.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced fluctuations in downloads, starting with about 94K in the last week of December and then dropping to around 57K by the end of March. Active users mirrored this trend, beginning the quarter with approximately 5.1M and ending at around 4.8M.

Moovit: All Transit Options saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting from about 18K in late December and reaching a peak of nearly 48K in early March. Active users for Moovit also surged, beginning the quarter with approximately 431K and climbing to over 800K by the end of March.

Cittamobi: Transporte Coletivo had a relatively stable performance in terms of downloads, fluctuating between 4K to 8K weekly. The number of active users showed a gradual increase, starting from about 65K at the end of December and growing to approximately 95K by the end of March.

Bike Itaú displayed varied weekly downloads, starting from around 7K in late December, peaking at approximately 7.8K in early January, and then dropping to about 4.3K by the end of March. Active users for Bike Itaú followed a similar pattern, beginning with about 18.5K and ending the quarter with nearly 17K.
