Top 5 iOS Navigation Apps Performance in Russia - Q1 2022

Throughout the first quarter of 2022, the top five navigation apps on the iOS platform in Russia demonstrated a range of performance metrics. Here’s a closer look at the weekly trends in downloads, revenue, and active users for these leading apps.

Yandex Maps & Navigator experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $7.3K in early February. Weekly downloads started strong with about 80K in the first week of January, gradually decreasing to around 44K by the end of March. The app maintained a high number of weekly active users, hovering around 1.8M throughout the quarter.

2GIS: Offline Map & Navigation did not generate any revenue during the quarter. Weekly downloads showed a downward trend, beginning at 52.6K and dropping to approximately 37.5K by the end of March. Despite this, the app saw a steady increase in weekly active users, reaching around 1.4M by the end of the quarter.

Yandex Navi – navigation, maps saw its highest weekly revenue of about $22K at the end of February. Weekly downloads declined from 41.3K in late December to approximately 24.4K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users increased steadily, peaking at around 972K in late March.

Google Maps did not report any revenue during this period. Weekly downloads were relatively stable, starting at 27.9K and finishing at 29.5K. The app consistently maintained the highest number of weekly active users among the top five, with figures fluctuating around 4M throughout the quarter.

Yandex Metro also did not report any revenue. Weekly downloads saw a gradual decline from 20.1K in early January to approximately 11.9K by the end of March. The app saw a slight increase in weekly active users, peaking at around 227K in mid-March.
