Top 5 iOS Navigation Apps in Italy - Q1 2022 Performance

In the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 iOS navigation apps in Italy demonstrated interesting activity patterns in terms of downloads and active users. According to Sensor Tower data, here’s a detailed look at their performance.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads ranged from approximately 39K to 74K, peaking at nearly 74K in the week of March 21. Active users fluctuated between 6.3M and 7.2M, with a notable increase from mid-February onwards, reaching around 7.2M by the end of March.

Moovit: All Transit Options saw a steady increase in downloads, starting at around 7.5K in late December and rising to approximately 11.4K by the end of March. Active users also showed a positive trend, growing from about 135K to nearly 204K over the quarter, with a peak in early March.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a varied download pattern, starting at 9.5K in late December and fluctuating around 7.5K towards the end of March. Active users saw a gradual increase from approximately 525K to 533K, with slight dips and rises throughout the quarter.

The ATM Milano Official App showed consistent download activity, with weekly downloads ranging from about 2.1K to 3.7K, peaking at 3.7K in the last week of March. Active users displayed a stable trend, increasing from around 15K to 17.8K over the period.

Lastly, SpTH noted a significant rise in downloads, starting at 1.8K in late December and reaching about 3.5K by the end of March. Active users grew steadily from approximately 2.8K to 4.3K, with a noticeable upward trend from mid-February onwards.
