In the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 education applications on the iOS platform in Brazil showed varied performance trends. Here’s a closer look at their weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Duolingo - Language Lessons experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, starting with approximately $83.2K at the end of December and dropping to around $34.6K by early February. The revenue saw a recovery towards the end of March, peaking at about $52.1K. Weekly downloads ranged from roughly 14.8K to 22.6K, with a notable increase in the first week of January. Active users showed a slight decline over the quarter, starting at 295.6K and ending at 341.6K.

Toca Boca World showed a decline in weekly revenue, beginning at $53.5K in late December and reaching a low of approximately $26K in mid-March. Downloads exhibited a downward trend, starting at 13.7K and ending at 8K. Active users also decreased, from 203.4K in late December to 171.6K by the end of March.

PlayKids+ Kids Learning Games had a relatively stable weekly revenue, fluctuating between $19.4K and $27.7K throughout the quarter. Downloads, however, showed a significant decline, from 3.4K at the end of December to just 853 by the end of March. Active users also decreased from 26.8K to 15.3K over the same period.

Passei Direto - App de Estudos saw a consistent increase in weekly revenue, starting at $14.7K in late December and rising to $29.9K by the end of March. Downloads followed a similar upward trend, beginning at 2.2K and reaching 14.4K. Active users also increased steadily, from 23.3K to 38.1K during the quarter.

EWA English Language Learning had a mixed performance. Weekly revenue started at $10.5K and peaked at $14.5K in late February, before declining to approximately $8.3K by the end of March. Downloads saw a peak of 7.5K in late February but dropped significantly to just 136 by the end of March. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 8.5K and decreasing to 3.3K.
